Who you are agreeing with

KimtOS is operated by [LEGAL ENTITY — pending], of [REGISTERED ADDRESS — pending]. By creating an account or using KimtOS, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use it.

What KimtOS is

KimtOS is a browser extension that replaces your new-tab page with a set of apps. The apps run on your own device and store their data there. A free tier is available forever; a paid Pro subscription unlocks the advanced on-device apps.

Your account

• You need to be old enough to enter a contract where you live, and at least 13.
• Give us accurate details, and keep your password to yourself.
• You are responsible for what happens under your account.
• One account is for one person. Do not share or resell it.

Your data and your content

Whatever you create in KimtOS stays yours. It is stored on your own device, not on our servers — we claim no licence over it, and we could not use it if we wanted to. What we do and do not hold is set out in our Privacy policy.

Because your content lives on your device, you are responsible for backing it up. Use the export in Settings. If you clear your browser storage, uninstall the extension, or lose the machine, your content is gone and we cannot recover it for you — we never had a copy.

Paying for Pro

• Pro is billed in advance, monthly or annually, through Stripe.
• Your subscription renews automatically until you cancel it.
• You can cancel anytime from your billing page. You keep Pro until the end of the period you have already paid for, then drop to the Free tier.
• Cancelling never deletes your data. The free apps keep working and your content stays on your device.

We may change the price of Pro. If we do, we will tell you before it affects you, and the new price will only apply from your next renewal.

Fair use

Do not use KimtOS to break the law, and do not:

• Try to break, overload or gain unauthorised access to our systems
• Resell KimtOS, or pass off Pro access to people who have not paid for it
• Use it to create or distribute unlawful material

We may suspend an account that does these things.

The parts lawyers insist on

KimtOS is provided as is. We work hard to make it reliable, but we do not promise it will be uninterrupted or error-free, and the on-device AI models can be wrong — do not rely on them for anything consequential without checking.

To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, or for loss of data that you did not back up. Where we are liable, our total liability is limited to what you paid us in the twelve months before the claim.

Nothing in these terms takes away rights you have by law as a consumer. Where local consumer law gives you a right that conflicts with something here, that law wins.

Ending it

You can stop using KimtOS and delete your account whenever you like. We may close an account that seriously or repeatedly breaks these terms. Either way, your content is on your device and remains yours.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the law of [JURISDICTION — pending], and its courts have jurisdiction over any dispute — without prejudice to any right you have to bring a claim where you live.

Changes

We may update these terms. The date at the top of this page shows when they last changed, and we will tell you about anything significant.
